5DM031: Compositing Editing (part 2)

The next phase was edit all these elements together and improve the feel of the scenario by adding visual effects to each sequence of images. The main program me and Andrew used to do the editing was Adobe After Effects. Each sequence of images according to the original storyboard were placed and exported in individual files through tv paint. As we exported them, we made sure to double the frame rate for each footage to make it longer and be able fit it in the 30 second bracket when putting them all together and we also made sure the quality was at the conversion  of HDTV 1080i x 1920 with the format of AVI when being placed in after effects. This is the same for 2d elements in tv paint and the edited backdrops in photoshop but in a JPEG format.

below shows an example of the footage put together from individual images and stretched out to fell longer.

once put together in separate files, the next stage was to add the visual effects in after effects. What we also planned to do was Andrew edits his monkey scenes and I edit the cyclops scenes. This in turn helps meet the requirements of making sure we both have finished equal amount of work between us for the end result; it saves time to meet the deadline date and when it comes together, the scenes should make the scenario set from the original storyboard.
