5AD008: My essay plan

Analyzing the question:
What makes non-conventional experimentation effective to be incorporated in stages of production?
·         Bringing something special to film-making (visually and sometimes understanding the scenario better)
·         Creating a unique art style to produce the best out of the storytelling that’s interesting and different to others.
·         Directors making their personal and professional mark in the artist world and to the filming industry
·         Influencing the creation of new art movements and styles to add to the collection of historical movements like art deco and pop art
·         Adapting into new forms of art when placed into film as to show it’s not copying other art styles whereas it’s improving to make new ones.
·         Helps improve the storytelling and its exploring topic in terms of visually styling the environments, presentation and characters.
Essay setup Brainstorm

Leading questions and arguments
·         Why would this be more noticeable to viewing audiences?
·         Does the use of non-conventional art help prove that production, particularly animation isn’t just for younger viewers?
·         Why would directors/animators/production artists and designers use this in their film making?
Resources:
·         Internet:
1.       Reviews: opinions and thoughts from audiences and critics to show if they do or don’t like a different view and presentation of surrealism and the unusual more than just traditional
2.       Informative Articles and websites:  About the people and companies that are well-known to use the inspiration of unusual and strange art styles in their film-making, even a deep look at those who get noticed like others that use art in their productions. Basic info on the productions that use these experimental art methods. Also, info on history but I would need to be carefully and look deeply in the information I need.
3.       Interviews: directors and other production staff personal overdraft on what made them feel to use these non-conventional experimentation
·         Books:
1.       Overview: Information on production processes and methods; history, techniques; adapted styles
2.       Introduction: this could be what they use, the outcome they’ve created, how the artistic style and process is incorporated
3.       Quotes: quick thoughts of how they felt about using certain experimentation to represent their characters, setting and storytelling in both visuals and concept.
4.       Discussions: this would be from those who have been part of different productions in terms of how it was created for screen differently than other film making productions for example.
·         DVDs, Blu-rays YouTube videos:
1.       Behind the scenes
2.       Collective view of their designing stages
3.       Pre-production
4.       Who would be involved to bring the inspiration to screen?
5.       Inspirations from the staff, production designers, directors and animators
